A TOTAL of 10 Pakatan Harapan (PH) state assemblymen (ADUNs) who did not hold Exco positions, as well as two DUN coordinators, have been ordered to return their allocations for the period from July to September following the dissolution of the Negeri Sembilan Legislative Assembly.
Menteri Besar, Datuk Ismail Lasim, said the decision was made in the State Executive Council Meeting after taking into account the status of allocations following the dissolution of the DUN.
According to him, each PH assemblyman involved received an allocation of RM174,000 for the three months.
“The dissolution of the DUN caused ordinary assemblymen to no longer function during the period in question, thus not being eligible to use the allocations approved for the period July to September.
“Two DUN coordinators received RM150,000 each for a period of three months and were also asked to return the allocation that could no longer be used after the dissolution of the DUN,” he said.
He said this at a press conference after chairing the Exco Weekly Meeting at Wisma Negeri, today.
However, he said, the position of the other seven PH assemblymen who held Exco positions is different because they were still carrying out their duties as Exco and MMK members ex officio until July 31.
Ismail said that each Exco member received an allocation of RM225,000, comprising RM180,000 for community programmes and RM45,000 for the service centre.
However, he said, only the allocation for July can be used based on the period they were still carrying out their functions as Exco.
"For the period after July 31, namely August and September, the allocation of RM150,000 must be returned because they are no longer functioning as Exco," he said. – August 26, 2026
