
KOTA BELUD: A 10-year-old girl is feared drowned while bathing in a river at Kampung Piasau on Saturday afternoon.
The victim was reportedly playing in the water with friends when the river’s strong current swept her away.
Kota Belud Fire and Rescue Station Chief Muhammad Syazwan Latun said his team received an emergency call about the incident at 2.41pm.
Ten firefighters were dispatched for a search and rescue (SAR) operation.
