At least 11 districts in Punjab have performed well in the Phase I of the Census, involving house listing and housing operations.

Chairing a review meeting on the Census operations, Administrative Secretary, Local Government, Manjit Singh Brar said the districts that had performed well were: Barnala, Moga, Malerkotla, Fazilka, Ludhiana, Sangrur, Muktsar, Tarn Taran, Rupnagar, Mansa and Hoshiarpur.

The meeting was also attended by Census Operations Director Dr Navjot Khosa and Local Government Director Kulwant Singh.
