
Kota Kinabalu: An 11-member women’s team from Labuan will be taking part in the Tuhun Tavakas Kaamatan to be held at SMK Bahang next to KDCA in Penampang on May 30-31.
The team is led by manager and coach Flavia Mannie Luntak who has won several titles in the past including last year’s Labuan Strongestwoman Challenge.
The athletes are Bisnu Elizabeth Buddhi Baharul, Ezra Azura Abdurahman, Yatt Norhayati Gunianto, Susie Sindeh, Nadziah Abd Rahman, Josephine Julianus, Effalin Ilham, Suzana Ainti Abu, Azzeiana Pzy Mohdizain, Nanang Moksir and Faridah Ida Mohamad.
This year’s competition held in conjunction with the Kaamatan celebration is open to men in the open category and women in the novice category.

According to him, attractive cash prizes await the winner with the men’s open champion getting RM1,200, RM600 for the runner-up, RM400 and RM200 to the third and fourth place winners while the women’s novice champion will receive RM800 followed by RM600, RM400 and RM200 for the second to fourth place winners.
In addition, there is a special incentive in the women’s category with every discipline routine winner getting an extra RM100.
