A DELEGATION of Turkish firms will visit the Philippines next month to explore investment opportunities, Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) president Ferdinand Ferrer said.
“We will be meeting with 12 Turkish companies on July 27,” Ferrer told reporters last week, adding that the firms will be on a business mission to the country.
While he did not identify the companies, Ferrer said these are interested in the agriculture and furniture sectors.
The visit follows efforts by the Philippines and Türkiye to strengthen trade and investment ties. In April, Trade Undersecretary and Board of Investments Managing Head Ceferino Rodolfo met with Turkish Trade Minister Ömer Bolat in Istanbul, where both sides reaffirmed cooperation in trade, investment, defense, agriculture, manufacturing and services.
The two officials also expressed support for the resumption of the Philippines-Türkiye Joint Committee on Economic and Technical Cooperation, which began in 2018.
In 2025, bilateral trade between the Philippines and Türkiye reached $365 million, with the trade balance favoring the Philippines.
