Kota Kinabalu: The “Rise Of The Champion” camp in preparation for the State para-athletes for the Para Malaysian Games (Para-Sukma) this year was successfully concluded at the Youth and Sports Department in Putatan on Friday.
A total of 147 State para-athletes took part in the five-day programme organised by the Sabah Sports Board Council.
The closing ceremony was officiated by Sabah Sports Council director Mohd Asneh Mohd Noor, representing Youth Development, Sports Advancement and Creative Economy Ministry’s permanent secretary Datuk Mansur Asun.
In his speech, he called on the athletes to take advantage of the training, knowledge and inspiration provided to make the State proud.
He also reminded them to adopt a champion mentality through discipline, commitment and team spirit.
Meanwhile, he also presented certificates to all the participants.
