SANDAKAN: Karamunting Assemblyman, George Hiew Vun Zin installed 15 solar street lights along the “S bend” of Jalan Cecily, here for the safety of road users around the Karamunting area.
He explained that the road, known to many as “Snake Road”, involves a sharp turn and is extremely dangerous for drivers at night without street lights.
“I chose to install the solar lights which save time and energy for maintenance work,” he said.
He is aware of outdated and damaged infrastructure facilities that need to be repaired and upgraded and urged residents to give him ample time to solve the problems one at a time.
