Kota Kinabalu: Sabah recorded 151 cases on Tuesday, an increase from 135 the day earlier, due to a higher number of test samples. One death was recorded in Kota Kinabalu.

Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said there were 2,536 test samples on Tuesday compared to 1,796 on Monday.

“The positivity rate of 6.82 per cent is far lower than 8.18 per cent the day before. This has limited the number of increased infections, even though samples increased by 740,” he said in a statement, Tuesday.

Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 36 cases, followed by Tawau (24), Tuaran (19), Sandakan (15), Penampang (10), Lahad Datu (7), Beluran (6) and Kota Marudu (6).

“Nine districts did not record any new infections,” Masidi added.

He said 145 out of 151 cases were category one and two infections, while five cases were in category three and one in category four.

No new clusters were identified.
