A recent post has caught the attention of many netizens after a 15-year-old girl in Kelantan took on the responsibility of earning an income to help support her mother and younger siblings.
According to Malaysian social activist Abbe Hae, the Form 3 student washes cars so she can buy rice and other basic food items for her family to get by.

It was also revealed that the girl and her siblings have not been attending school due to the family’s financial difficulties, while the school is located too far from where they live.
Meanwhile, Abbe also shared that the mother has been facing a series of hardships, including being forced to leave her rented home after falling four months behind on rent payments.

“A 15-year-old child washes cars to buy rice for her mother and four younger siblings in Pasir Mas. The Form 3 student (15 years old) has been washing cars and earning RM80 a week to buy rice and some food for her mother and younger siblings.
The mother has been tested with many hardships and has lost direction on what to do next after being forced to leave her rented home due to four months of unpaid rent. The landlord had no choice but to rent the house to another tenant,” the post read.
Adding to the family’s struggles, the woman’s husband is currently serving a prison sentence for offences unrelated to drugs.

After hearing about the family’s situation, Abbe stepped in to help in any way he could, including looking for a new home for them closer to a school.
“I deeply sympathise with this mother and her children and have decided to help them, even though I myself am facing financial constraints, as I already bear the monthly expenses of many underprivileged families.
However, I believe that helping those who are truly in need will never make me poor. God willing, I will continue working hard to grow ABBE-branded products so that I can keep helping the community,” he wrote.
Fortunately, Abbe and his team managed to find a vacant house for rent, and the family is now set to move into their new home.
