1664 is adding a burst of colour to the year-end festive period through a new artist-edition collaboration with French designer Camille Walala. The partnership brings Walala’s bold, geometric style to 1664’s familiar blue-and-white identity, resulting in limited-edition packaging that blends Parisian creativity with celebrations across Asia.
The artist-edition cans arrive just in time for the stretch of festivities spanning Christmas and Lunar New Year, offering a modern visual twist on what is traditionally a season defined by red, gold and classic motifs. Known for transforming city streets and public spaces with her vivid, large-scale work, Walala brings the same energy to the collaboration—this time in a format that fits neatly onto a can.
Artistic Strokes

Her signature patterns reimagine 1664’s branding with a contemporary edge, turning the packaging into a colourful keepsake for those who enjoy collecting limited designs or appreciate creative crossovers between art and everyday products.
Carlsberg Malaysia’s Marketing Director, Olga Pulyaeva, describes the project as an important moment for the brand, noting that this is 1664’s first artist-led festive collaboration across Asia, and only its second global partnership of this kind. She highlights the role of creativity and design in refreshing classic festive traditions for a modern audience.
Festive Showcase

Malaysia will also see an exclusive extension of the collaboration through A Very Extra-ordinary Blue Christmas, an immersive installation inspired by Walala’s visual language. Taking place from 12 to 19 December at The Exchange TRX in Kuala Lumpur, the experience aims to bring art, colour and festivity into a public space in a playful, accessible way.
Walala says the project allowed her to channel the joy of the festive season into a design that feels expressive and full of life, celebrating the power of colour to uplift people and bring them together.
Limited-edition 1664 x Walala merchandise—such as an artist-designed umbrella—will also be available through selected outlets nationwide from November to December 2025, while stocks last.
