173 new cases in Sabah, three deaths

Kota Kinabalu: Sabah recorded 173 new Covid-19 cases on Wednesday, a marginal dip from 176 the day earlier, while three deaths were recorded – two in Kota Kinabalu and one in Penampang.

Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said a total of 2,001 samples were collected with a positivity rate of 8.65 per cent.

Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 78 cases, followed by Lahad Datu (18), Tuaran (15), Nabawan (12), Papar (11) and Tawau (11).

“Fifteen districts did not record any infections,” he said in a statement, Wednesday.

He said 170 out of 176 cases were category one and two infections, while one case was recorded in category three and two cases in category four.
