Tuaran: Eighteen people were left homeless when four houses were razed at Kg Kapa along Jalan Tamparuli-Ranau, Tuesday. There was no casualty in the fire which started at 12.55pm.
Tuaran Fire and Rescue Department head Abdul Qawie Abdul Gapar said the fire brigade received a call at 1pm and 9 firemen rushed to the scene some 17km away.
“When they arrived at the scene, the houses were already burnt,” he said.
He added apart from properties, some important personal documents also could not be saved.
The cause of the fire and loses is still being investigated.
