Tuaran: A man was lucky to escape with light injuries after his 4WD vehicle hit a lamp post at Marabahai near here Sunday night.
However, Stanie James Majanau, 42, was found to be weak when fireman pulled him out of his Toyota Hilux just before midnight.
Tuaran Fire and Rescue Department chief Abdul Qawie Abdul Gapar said the fire brigade received a call at 11.52pm.
Six firemen in a fire engine together with an EMRS vehicle rushed to the scene.
The victim was later sent to the Tuaran hospital for further treatment.
The operation ended at 12.25am after the victim was sent to the hospital.
The cause of the accident and losses are still under investigation.
