LAHAD DATU: Some 19 illegal immigrants were detained following an Integrated Operation carried out by Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) here from December 1-6.
Esscom Commander, DCP Datuk Hamzah Ahmad said, during the operation, a total of 26 traffic summonses and five summonses from the Road Transport Department were issued.
“During the operation, we conducted physical inspection on 1,331 individuals, 205 vehicles as well as 486 houses and out of the figure, 19 were detained under Section 6(1)(c) of Immigration Act 1959/63.
