Chelsea legend Ashley Cole is set to be offered a coaching post by Frank Lampard.
Cole announced his retirement over the weekend.
The Daily Mail report Chelsea are planning to discuss a potential return for the left-back - who won the Champions League during his time in West London.
Cole travelled to Japan for the Blues pre-season tour this summer and it is understood Chelsea will help the 38-year-old complete his UEFA qualifications.
Stamford Bridge legend Petr Cech was this season appointed technical and performance adviser.
Claude Makelele and Paulo Ferreira, both league winners with Chelsea, are also part of the coaching set-up.
The door open has been left wide open for legendary forward Didier Drogba to also return to the club in some capacity.
