Espanyol have signed Girona defender Bernardo.
The 29-year-old moves on a season-long loan with Espanyol holding the option to purchase the player outright in the summer of 2020.
Espanyol have been in the market for a central defender with Mario Hermoso's future appearing ever further away from the RCDE Stadium.
Bernardo has formed a key part of the Girona defence over the last two years, in the club's maiden seasons in Spain's top division.
