
SEMPORNA: Marine Police seized over 1kg of Syabu worth an estimated RM70,000 and arrested two foreign men during a raid at Kampung Halo, Thursday.
Sabah Region Four Marine Police Force Commander, ACP Mohd Nazri Ibrahim, said the 6.40pm raid was carried out based on intelligence suggesting the premises was a hub for drug users and traffickers.
“During the operation, the team arrested two foreigners aged 46 and 58, believed to be involved in drug trafficking, and seized 1,019.93 grammes of Syabu,” he said.
The case is being investigated under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which carries the mandatory death penalty or life imprisonment upon conviction.
Nazri also urged the public to cooperate by reporting any criminal activities, adding that the Marine Police remain committed to combating drug trafficking and other crimes to safeguard national security.
