Two tourists from Punjab were killed on the spot while three others sustained serious injuries when the vehicle they were travelling in fell into a deep gorge near Sarsari on the Manikaran-Bhuntar road in Himachal’s Kullu district on Friday.
The vehicle was travelling from Manikaran to Bhuntar when the accident occurred, said Kullu Superintendent of Police Madan Lal.
A case has been registered under relevant sections, and further investigation is underway, he added.
The injured individuals have been referred to Medical College Nerchowk in Mandi district, while one woman remains under treatment in Kullu hospital, police said.
