The Modern Women is truly empowered, we don't need a man to make us feel complete. Our lovability depends on ourselves. We can spend money on things that make us feel happy, cherished, loved. Heck we love ourselves. If we want roses, we will order deliveries from 5 different online shops and send them to ourselves anonymously.
Write my name in the sand
Making my own mark in the world. Creating my own memories, going on my own holidays. To the most beautiful beaches, wearing whatever I want, exploring new places and meeting new people. I am armed with 10 different beauty photo apps on my phone. Who knows what I truly look like anymore.
Talk to myself for hours
Ok this one maybe need a bit of therapy. Positive self talk is good for mental health, boosting confidence, increasing motivation and productivity; however on the other hand negative self talk is usually associated with depression or anxiety.
Say things you don't understand
The most common complaint I hear for women is that their husbands are not listening. Let's not talk about understanding when we can't even achieve 'listening'. Women understand ourselves better, you slay it girl!
I can take myself dancing
I'll sign up for pole dancing, tap dancing, belly dancing, tik tok dancing, I'll do it for myself, its not to attract nor to impress anyone. Look good, feel good - Fulfilment, security and confidence, YES!
And I can hold my own hand
Especially when I forget to bring my jacket to a cold place. Or when the aircond is too cold. And in awkward photographs. Occasionally when doing presentations and I don't know where to put my hand.
Yeah, I can love me better than you can
Self love is the new type of love, especially some women that spend more energy and time giving love to their family that they lose themselves in the process. Ladies, remember self love and care is important too. You can't pour from an empty cup.
Women don't need anyone else to feel loved, we can love ourselves. We are strong, independent, financially secure, and willing to spend money to pamper ourselves. We have to love ourselves 💕❤️
