The first 300 customers who book the Dynamic can purchase it at a special price of RM159,800, after savings of RM4,000.

THE updated 2026 BYD Sealion 7 has been launched in Malaysia with a new entry-level Dynamic variant, while the existing Premium and Performance models receive larger batteries and faster DC charging.

The range now consists of three variants, which are Dynamic, Premium, and Performance, priced from RM163,800, RM188,800, and RM203,800 respectively. The first 300 customers who book the Dynamic can purchase it at a special price of RM159,800, after savings of RM4,000.

The new Dynamic lowers the entry price of the Sealion 7 range, but the Premium and Performance are now more expensive than when the electric SUV was first launched in Malaysia in November 2024.

The Premium was previously priced at RM183,800, while the Performance cost RM199,800. This represents increases of RM5,000 and RM4,000 respectively.

The rear-wheel-drive Dynamic uses a 71.8kWh Blade lithium iron phosphate battery and a single electric motor producing 170kW, equivalent to around 231PS, and 380Nm.

It can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 7.3 seconds and has a claimed range of 520 km under the NEDC cycle.

The Dynamic uses a 400-volt electrical architecture and supports AC charging at up to 7kW, while DC fast charging is rated at up to 110kW.

The rear-wheel-drive Premium retains its 230kW, or around 313PS, output and 380Nm of torque. Its zero-to-100 km/h time is rated at 6.9 seconds.

However, battery capacity has increased from 82.56kWh to 91.39kWh, extending its claimed NEDC range from 567km to 650km.

The larger battery also brings an 800-volt electrical architecture, with AC charging supported at up to 11kW. DC fast charging has been upgraded from 150kW to 230kW.

The all-wheel-drive Performance uses the same 91.39kWh battery and produces a combined 390kW, equivalent to around 530PS, and 690Nm. It accelerates from zero to 100km/h in 4.5 seconds and offers a claimed NEDC range of up to 600km.

Like the Premium, the Performance uses an 800-volt architecture and supports 11 kW AC charging and DC fast charging at up to 230kW. BYD says the larger-battery variants can be charged from 10% to 80% in around 24 minutes.

Visually, the updated Sealion 7 remains largely unchanged. The Premium gains a new Ultraviolet
exterior colour, while all variants come with a black interior.

Inside, the Sealion 7 continues to feature a 15.6-inch rotating central touchscreen and a digital instrument display. Standard equipment includes ventilated front seats, nine airbags and a suite of advanced driver assistance systems.

The Dynamic comes with an eight-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, while the Premium and Performance add four-way lumbar adjustment and an electrically adjustable leg rest.

The Dynamic also receives a 10-speaker audio system, while the Premium and Performance retain their 12-speaker Dynaudio setup.

All variants come with a 58-litre front storage compartment. The Dynamic has 500 litres of rear boot space, while the Premium and Performance offer 520 litres.

The updated BYD Sealion 7 is now available at BYD showrooms nationwide. It is also being displayed at the Beyond Your Drive roadshow at 1 Utama Shopping Centre from July 30 to August 2 2026.
