Bookings for the 2026 Honda City facelift are now open in Malaysia, with updated styling, new features and an RM3,000 Early Bird Reward.

HONDA MALAYSIA has opened bookings for the 2026 Honda City facelift, bringing the fifth-generation B-segment sedan’s second major update to Malaysia following its earlier debut in India and Thailand.

Final pricing and the full Malaysian variant line-up have yet to be announced, but Honda has confirmed that both the 1.5-litre petrol and 1.5-litre e:HEV hybrid powertrains will continue to be offered.

The biggest change is up front, where the City receives a substantially redesigned face with slimmer headlights integrated into a full-width light bar, a new grille and redesigned bumper incorporating air curtains for the first time on the model.

Changes at the rear are more subtle, while the RS receives new 16-inch two-tone alloy wheels finished in Berlina Black and Dark Clear. This follows the same overall design direction first seen on the facelift revealed in India earlier this year.

Inside, the updated City gains a new 10-inch Display Audio system with ambient lighting, replacing the smaller screen offered previously on higher-spec Malaysian variants. A new Multi-View Camera System also provides a 360-degree view around the car.

Honda specifically confirms these features for the City e:HEV RS, while Blind Spot Information with Cross Traffic Monitoring will be offered across all variants.

The powertrains remain familiar. Petrol variants continue with the 1.5-litre DOHC i-VTEC naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine producing 121 PS and 145 Nm, paired with a CVT.

The e:HEV RS retains Honda’s two-motor hybrid system, with its electric traction motor producing 109 PS and 253 Nm. Drive is sent through Honda’s e-CVT system, with EV, Hybrid and Engine drive modes operating automatically depending on conditions.

Honda Sensing also remains standard across the City range, including Collision Mitigation Braking System, Lane Keep Assist, Road Departure Mitigation, Adaptive Cruise Control and Lead Car Departure Notification. Low Speed Follow is reserved for the RS.

As part of the pre-booking campaign, customers who book the new City between August 27 and Sept 30 this year will receive an RM3,000 Early Bird Reward, subject to terms and conditions.
