ALiN Move Half Marathon slated on Sept. 27

MANDAUE CITY — Cebu’s running community will hit the road again on Sept. 27, 2026 for the inaugural ALiN Move Half Marathon at Robinsons Galleria Cebu in Cebu City, with organizers hoping to attract more than 3,000 participants.

Mitone Rivera of Cargo Express said during the event’s media launch last week that the race will feature four categories — 21K half marathon, 12K, 6K and 3K — giving competitive runners, recreational athletes and beginners different distances to choose from.

Israel Alin of the ALiN Group of Companies said organizers may add race slots if demand exceeds the initial target.

He said their experience as a local courier gives them confidence to handle increased logistical needs, including expediting shipments from overseas suppliers for race kits and other event requirements.

Beyond the race itself, Alin said the organizers will support local runners’ groups and grassroots athletes by providing them with race slots. They also plan to organize community runs to give runners opportunities to train.

Rivera said organizers want the event to make a long-term contribution to the local running community rather than become a one-time activity.

Rosevil Alin of ALiN Travels and MAYKaya said the race will also offer cash prizes to the top three male and female finishers in each category.

The 21K winners will receive P15,000, P10,000 and P7,000 to the top three finishers, while the 12K race offers P10,000, P7,000 and P5,000 to the winners.

The 6K offers P7,000, P5,000 and P3,000 while the 3K winners get P5,000, P3,000 and P1,000 as cash prizes.

Organizers will also recognize age-category winners and may add other special awards.

Registration fees are P699 for the 3K, P899 for the 6K, P1,199 for the 12K and P1,399 for the 21K under the app-exclusive rates.

Each entry pack includes an event shirt, finisher medal, finisher shirt and post-race meal, as well as entry into the event raffle.

Organizers are encouraging runners to register through the latest ALiN Move mobile app. Registration will also be available at ALiN Cargo Express branches, including in Liloan, Danao, Consolacion, Mandaue, Talisay, Toledo and Cebu City.

Registered runners may pick up their race kits at designated branches or have them delivered to their homes at no additional charge.

The event will also feature several raffle prizes, including a rice business package and vehicles such as a motorcycle and a van.

The organizers said the vehicles may be enrolled in ALiN Move as courier partners, giving winners an opportunity to use them for a potential livelihood.
