Police arrested two brothers for allegedly stabbing a 21-year-old labourer to death over an Rs 800 wage dispute in Balongi on May 18.
According to police, the victim, Abhi, a resident of Azad Nagar in Balongi, had gone to collect his pending wages from an acquaintance, Anil. However, an argument broke out on the evening of May 17, following which Anil’s two brothers allegedly attacked him.
The accused were identified as Ram Ratan,19, and Chhotu, 20, both of Mainpuri, UP. Cops said they have recovered the knife used by Ram Ratan in the crime.
Police said teams were sent to UP to nab the duo. The duo was produced in the court and sent to a three-day police remand. Anil is yet to be arrested in the case, police added.
A case of murder and criminal conspiracy was registered at Balongi police station on May 18.
