Yesterday (Jan 11), we reported about the disappearance of 21-year-old Dionna Liew, who left Johor for Singapore after reportedly finding a new job there last August and never came back since.

Following her disappearance, Liew’s mother has pleaded for her safe return, adding that she hasn’t been able to sleep well as she’s worried sick for her daughter’s wellbeing.

In an unexpected twist to the story, it seems that Liew is safe and sound out there, except for the fact that she’s currently not in Singapore.

According to Sin Chew Daily, she is now working as a piano teacher at a music academy in Shaanxi, China, and is safe and well over there.

Johor Bersatu associate wing’s complaints bureau chief Lim Thow Siang, who had organised the press conference addressing Liew’s disappearance, personally contacted her to check on her situation.

Based on video footage provided to the media by Lim, Liew mentioned that she had already contacted her mother, adding that her mother plans to visit her in China soon.

She also revealed that she has a Chinese boyfriend and emphasised that she is safe and isn’t facing any threats to her safety.
