TUARAN: A total of 24 houses were reported damaged in a fire that broke out at Kampung Mengkabong here on Saturday afternoon.

The 3.30pm blaze did not result in any injuries or loss of life, according to Tuaran Fire and Rescue Station chief Mohammad Nor Amit.

A total of 24 personnel from Tuaran, Kota Kinabalu and Putatan fire stations responded with three engines following an emergency call at 3.34pm.

Firefighting efforts, supported by police, civil defence, Sabah Electricity, and water tankers from the Water Department, ended at 10.38pm, with investigations ongoing.
