Barcelona's deal for former Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong took just a week of negotiations, it has been revealed.
While he joined Barca over the summer, De Jong initially signed for Barca in January for a fee of 75m.
Catalunya Radio reports the player's agent called Pep Segura, then the football director at Barcelona, on January 16 to inform him that De Jong was set to join PSG.
On hearing this news, Barca director Eric Abidal decided to organise a meeting with the midfielder directly to try to convince him to join the Catalans.
And by January 23 the Dutchman was convinced and officially joined Bara.
