Massimiliano Allegri fluffed his interview with Arsenal directors last year, it has been revealed.
The Daily Mail says Allegri asked Arsenal chiefs why he should become their new manager.
It was deemed he was 'arrogant', although those feelings may well have changed by now.
Arsenal have drawn up a managerial shortlist following Unai Emery's sacking, after the club's worst run of results for 27 years.
Allegri is now a free agent after leaving Juve last summer.
