MANILA, Philippines—Manila Mayor Isko Moreno on Wednesday said the second tranche of the city government’s "Biyayang Bigas para sa Maynila" program has been rolled out.
“Since yesterday, the 2nd tranche of your 'Biyayang Bigas para sa Maynila' program in the City of Manila is now being delivered to everyone,” Moreno said in Filipino during President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s rollout of the cash assistance to graduating students at the Rizal Memorial Stadium.
The program—launched in April—provides 10-kilogram sacks of rice to workers across Manila, including employees in malls, hotels, restaurants, and other establishments.
