LAHAD DATU: Some 35 Umno branches from Lahad Datu division comprising 3, 512 members quit the party and pledged their support to Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) Government under Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
Leading the departure from Umno, Momen Angchai said all members from 32 branches which are from Tungku and three others from Segama would be joining the Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (PGRS).
Momen said the decision was made based on the goals and direction of Sabah under Hajiji’s leadership who successfully formed a coalition of local parties for Sabah’s peace and harmony.
