TAWAU: Police arrested three men suspected of drink driving during the Ops Mabuk carried out by the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Division, Monday night.
Tawau OCPD ACP Jasmin Hussin said one of the trio, a 22-year-old was brought to the Tawau district police headquarters after his alcohol level was found to be more than the permitted 213/100 ml.
He said during the operation, 16 summonses were issued for various traffic offences.
Among the offences were driving without a license, expired road tax and so on.
“The operation was to catch drink drivers and other traffic offenders,” he stated.
Drink drivers were tested using the SD II equipment, he added.
