MANILA, Philippines — It will be a rainy Valentine's Day as three weather systems continue to affect the country on Saturday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

In its early morning bulletin, the weather bureau said that the shear line was affecting the eastern sections of Central and Southern Luzon, the northeast monsoon (amihan) is affecting Northern Luzon, and the easterlies the rest of the country.

Because of the shear line, mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Aurora, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Quezon, Rizal, Laguna, and Camarines Norte will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms.

Due to the “amihan”, Batanes, Babuyan Islands, Apayao, and Ilocos Norte will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains.

The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to Davao Oriental, Davao Occidental, Sarangani, Basilan, Sulu, and Tawi-Tawi, while Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

No active tropical cyclone was cited outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility as of posting time.
