Aston Villa boss Dean Smith was delighted with their 4-1 win at Charlton Athletic.
Villa turned on the style in the capital as Anwar El Ghazi, Andre Green and John McGinn (2) gave us our fourth consecutive friendly win this summer.
Smith said: It was a great workout at Charlton and it was great to see so many fans.
We played really well again and we got a lot of minutes into the players, which is what we want going into the Tottenham game on 10th August.
We've now got next weekend in Leipzig where we can get another full 90 minutes into the players and we're really looking forward to it.
We're scoring a few goals at the moment which is good. They're coming from all areas of the pitch.
It was nice to see John McGinn get two goals - it was what his performance deserved."
