
TAWAU: Yong Hui Woon, an Arts Stream student of Kolej Tingkatan Enam Tawau, scored a perfect 4.0 in cumulative grade point average (CGPA) in the Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) 2021
She was invited to receive her STPM result slip from Sabah Education Department Director Tah Nia Jaman at a ceremony to announce the Sabah STPM 2021 results, here, Thursday.
A total of 342 candidates of the college sat for the STPM last year and achieved the passing rate of 99.71 per cent (CGPA 2.72), a slight decrease compared to 99.75 per cent (CGPA 2.68) in 2020.
There were 32 students who scored a CGPA of between 3.92 and 3.50, including two from the Science Stream - Vun Soon Shing (CGPA 3.92) and Niclaronce Ling How Jun (CGPA 3.50).
The College’s excellent principal, Matnoor bin Sima, said the college had continuously strive for excellence either in academic or co-curricular activities.
“Whatever obstacles and challenges that come our way, we always work together as a team to improve our students’ capacities,” he said.
He also congratulated all the students on their great achievement in the STPM 2021 which should be used to motivate and spur the college and students.
