Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is keen to hear from Lyon.
Wenger has not managed since he decided to step down as Arsenal boss 18 months ago.
But ESPN says the Frenchman is prepared to return to the managerial hot-seat - and in his home country with Lyon.
However, the French club are more interested in appointing Laurent Blanc.
Blanc is thought to be the main candidate for Lyon, who sacked Sylvinho on Monday after a poor start to the campaign.
