A man in his mid-forties was found dead inside the toilet of a school in Serian, Sarawak yesterday afternoon (Oct 28).
According to Harian Metro, the incident took place at the school located at Batu 32, Jalan Baki Lama.
A spokesperson for the Sarawak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Operations Centre (PGO) said in a statement that an emergency call was made at 4.30pm.
When a team from the Serian Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) arrived at the scene at 4.43pm, they found that the 46-year-old victim was lying unconscious on the toilet floor.
They also had to break down the door with special equipment to gain access into the toilet.
The victim was later pronounced dead by Ministry of Health (MOH) officials before his body was handed over to police for further action.
As the cause of death remains unknown, the authorities have taken over the case to conduct further investigations.
