Kota Kinabalu: Malaysia Airport Holdings Berhad (MAHB) has installed 47 coolers around the Kota Kinabalu International Airport (KKIA) as a temporary measure after its third chiller broke down last week.
Kota Kinabalu MP Chan Foong Hin said since last year, KKIA was kept at a comfortable temperature with two functioning chillers.
“However, since one of the two remaining chillers had broken down, the entire airport is getting hotter with the return of travellers following the ease in travel restrictions.
“It is expected that repair works for the chiller will be completed by next week according to information shared by KKIA Senior Manager Jeffrey Ramli.
