
KOTA KINABALU: The Tourism, Culture and Environment Ministry will distribute 5,000 reusable bags to the public during the Malaysia Day celebration at the Padang Merdeka here on Sept 16.
Its Minister, Datuk Christina Liew, said the initiative encourages citizens to use reusable bags for shopping, promoting environmentally friendly practices.
The campaign is an extension of the Ministry's ongoing environmental programmes, implemented through the Environment Protection Department.
