MAKKAH: A total of 5,364 Malaysian Haj pilgrims have arrived in Madinah as of midnight, marking the smooth progress of the initial phase of this year’s Haj operations
Malaysian Haj delegation head Mohd Hisham Harun, said 19 flights carrying Malaysian pilgrims have arrived so far, with another flight scheduled to depart for Madinah today.
“The Pilgrims’ Fund Board (Tabung Haji) continuously monitors the movement of pilgrims to ensure operations proceed as planned, while safeguarding their welfare at all times,” he told reporters here today
He added that more flights will be deployed soon to transport the remaining pilgrims in stages.
The 1447H/2026M Haj operation began on April 18, involving 31,600 Malaysian pilgrims travelling in stages to Madinah and Makkah via 100 special chartered flights operated by AMAL by Malaysia Airlines and Saudia.
