HONG KONG: An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.9 jolted 79 km ESE of Katsuren-haebaru, Japan at 03:22:09 GMT on Monday, the US Geological Survey said.

According to Xinhua, the epicentre, with a depth of 10.813 km, was initially determined to be at 26.0075 degrees north latitude and 128.5838 degrees east longitude. - Bernama
