BEIJING: An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.7 struck near the east coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia, at 0306 GMT on Monday, the US Geological Survey said.

According to Xinhua, the epicentre, with a depth of 99.7 km, was initially determined to be at 52.75 degrees north latitude and 158.635 degrees east longitude. -Bernama
