Unlike many modern street circuits that feature boxy, 90-degree stop-start corners, Sepang was purpose-built on a sprawling 260-hectare site. It blends long, high-speed straights with sweeping S-curves that test both aerodynamic efficiency and driver skill.

Its iconic layout features two parallel 900-meter straights joined by a tight hairpin (Turn 15).
