
Six research scholars of the Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh, have been awarded the prestigious ICSSR Doctoral Fellowship 2025–26 by the Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR), New Delhi.
The awardees include Narayana Choudhuri (Department of Journalism and Mass Communication; Supervisor: Dr Alekha Sachidananda Nayak), Sachin Kumar (Department of Management Studies; Supervisor: Dr Manish Kumar), Deepali Gupta (Department of Commerce; Supervisor: Prof Suman), Prashant Kashyap (Department of Tourism and Hotel Management; Supervisor: Dr Anil Kumar), Amit Kumar (Department of Sociology; Supervisor: Dr T. Longkoi Khiamniungan), and Manisha (Department of Sanskrit; Supervisor: Dr Suman Rani).
The Heads of the respective departments have expressed their pride in the achievement and highlighted the importance of quality research and academic mentorship in attaining national-level recognition.
The CUH Vice-Chancellor, Prof Tankeshwar Kumar, congratulated the scholars and their supervisors, stating that this achievement reflects their perseverance and commitment to research and academics.
“Selection of six research scholars for this prestigious national fellowship demonstrates the strength of the university’s research ecosystem. We are confident that their work will contribute significantly to knowledge creation and societal development,” said CUH Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof Pawan Kumar Sharma.
The research supervisors also congratulated their scholars and acknowledged their dedication, hard work and scholarly excellence.
“The fellowship would further strengthen the scholars’ research pursuits and academic contributions," they maintained.
