The agent of Chelsea fullback Davide Zappacosta was at Stamford Bridge yesterday.
The defender is wanted by Roma coach Paulo Fonseca and Alessandro Lucci was in London on Saturday for talks with Chelsea managing director Marina Granovskaia.
Lucci is attempting to find an agreement affordable for Roma.
Chelsea's 25m asking price is deemed too steep and the Giallorosso would prefer an initial loan arrangement.
Zappacosta moved to Chelsea last year from Torino.
