Kota Kinabalu: The “Blood Heroes 7.0” blood donation campaign, jointly organised by the Che Hor Khor Moral Uplifting Society Sabah and the Kota Kinabalu Entrepreneur Education Association, recorded remarkable success by collecting 771 bags of blood over three days (April 26-27).

Held with the aim of strengthening the national blood bank and encouraging public participation in life-saving efforts, the campaign received overwhelming support from volunteers and donors alike.

Following the success of the blood drive, the organising team extended their charitable spirit by visiting the “Faith Caring Home” in Kampung Limbanak, Penampang.

The visit was marked by the distribution of essential items such as rice, sugar, dried noodles, eggs, pork, condiments, daily goods and medical supplies to the residents of the centre, many of whom are recovering mental health patients.

Chung Ming said the initiative aimed to provide basic support for the residents and demonstrate solidarity with vulnerable groups in society.

“This was not only about donating items — it was about showing care, compassion, and human connection. I sincerely thank our dedicated team and kind-hearted donors for making this possible,” he said.

The team was warmly received by James Wong, a representative of Faith Caring Home, who expressed heartfelt gratitude for the generosity shown.

“This spirit of giving and collective responsibility is a treasure for our team and our community. We hope this small gesture brings some comfort and encouragement to those in need,” Chung Ming added.
