American sports investment group 777 Partners are now in talks to buy Everton.
Talks have been ongoing for some months between 777 and Everton's majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri.
While in England it's been suggested 777 will seek to buy a minority stake in Everton, TMW says talks have accelerated about a complete buyout.
It's stated 777 have now overtaken MSP Capital as favourites to takeover Everton.
777 hold interest in Genoa, Herth Berlin, Vasco da Gama, Standard Liege, Red Star Paris and Melbourne Victory.
