Former Inter Milan coach Frank de Boer admits Gabriel Barbosa was mocked during his short time in charge at the San Siro.

Gabigol is being celebrated today after his two goals for Flamengo, where he's on-loan from Inter, to help them defeat River Plate in the final of the Copa Libertadores.

But De Boer says he was unimpressed with the striker when working with him.

"I didn't know much about him, but they told me he was a fantastic player. They call him Gabigol but we called him Gabi-no-gol," the Atlanta United coach said.

"He came to us with two people just to cover his social networks and a bodyguard, but he did nothing."
