The father of PSG star Neymar admits he was happy his former Barcelona teammates wanted him to return.
Neymar Senior, the PSG forward's father has spoken about those relationships with the leaders of the Blaugrana dressing room.
"A Brazilian only wants to be where he can be happy," he said at an appearance at a conference, according to Footmercato.
"My son was very happy at Barcelona.
"When his friends asked if he wanted to return, that touched him."
The player's father went on to speak about his role as an agent for his son during the summer of transfer speculation.
"As an agent, you feel weak when there is no structure to allow you to leave and move," he said.
"There was no release clause in the contract and this made things difficult.
"We fought to try to reach an agreement.
"We gave the best of ourselves for him."
