While Hong Kong is home to world-class bars (the world’s best at that!) as well as hole-in-the-wall hidden gem finds, if you’re looking to kick back with drinks, darts, pool, and live sports, there’s a special kind of place you’ll want to find. These sports bars are roomy, decked out with multiple LED screens, and some even pour a solid selection of draft beers. Whether you’re trying to catch rugby, cricket, or football (including the FIFA World Cup), look to these sports bars in Hong Kong. With spots across Tsim Sha Tsui, Wan Chai, Mong Kok, and Central, take your pick, especially for those matches airing at ungodly hours.
While the football world revels in Arsenal’s victory after 22 years, a major sporting event is inching closer and closer. The FIFA World Cup is all set to run from June 11 to July 19. Kicking off the group stage, the first two matches of the 2026 edition are Mexico vs. South Africa (at 3 am) and South Korea vs. Czechia (at 10 am). See what we mean by ungodly hours? You’d either be in deep slumber or at work. And this year’s World Cup will feature the most countries in the tournament’s history, and is also said to be the last World Cup appearance for the two legends, Argentina’s Messi, and Portugal’s Ronaldo. So, you’ll want to catch all the action you can, and if you don’t want to shell out for an expensive subscription, these sports bars are the answer.
Speaking of the World Cup, it’s worth giving the bars a call before heading over to make sure they’re screening the match you’re after. The other fun thing about catching a live match at a sports bar? It’s a great way to make new friends who support the same teams as you, and, of course, the friendly banter is fun too. Thankfully, things don’t get too rowdy at Hong Kong sports bars!

TrafalgarThis neighbourhood British pub is tucked away in Wan Chai, away from all the other bars but with an equally vibrant atmosphere. It boasts an open terrace, an in-house brewery, and of course, TV screens for the ultimate sports viewing experience. If any of the TV screens lined across four walls aren’t enough to satisfy you, the two 120-inch outdoor projectors are just as great. Looking for something to do during mid-break? Have a go at the pool table, dart machine, touch-screen arcade, or beer pong table. If you’re up for it, sing a tune using the karaoke machine too. Is Wan Chai too far? Head to the other branch in Mong Kok.

Wan Chai StadiumWatch the action unfold at Wan Chai Stadium and its many television screens! With so many of them, there’s no excuse to miss them. The pub is reminiscent of the ones you’d see in the United States, complete with red leather sofas and brick decor. It’s cosy but also rowdy (but fun).
