
Kota Kinabalu: Gaya Teachers’ Training Institute (IPG) Kota Kinabalu is the closing centre of Kembara Merdeka Jalur Gemilang Convoy (KMJG) for this year.
More than 800 IPG Gaya Campus staff and members enlivened the closing ceremony with various activities.
At the ceremony, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Chan Foong Hin said the convoy brought together various agencies involved, especially government and non-government bodies, in deepening the spirit of patriotism in conjunction with the National Month which is 11 days away from the National Day on August 31, he said.
“The programme is outstanding because both government agencies and private sector were involved,” he said after officiating the closing of the KMJG at the Gaya Campus IPG Hall on Sunday.

Also present were Minister of Industrial Development and Entrepreneur Phoong Jin Zhe, Assistant Minister of Finance II cum Likas Assemblyman Tan Lee Fatt, Sabah Information Director Jainisah Mohd Noor who is also the Head of the KMJG Convoy, representative of the Kota Kinabalu City Mayor, Robert Lipon, representative of Kota Kinabalu District Police Chief Supt Kalsom Idris and Gaya Campus IPG Director Dr Gertrude Jock.
