KENINGAU: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Jeffrey Kitingan said the Sabah Kembara Merdeka Jalur Gemilang (Sabah KMJG) convoy that started at the Oath Stone here is for the people to understand that Sabah is part of the partners that established Malaysia.
“This is our common pride and this stone is the only such monument to remind us of the conditions when Malaysia was established,” he said, when launching the Sabah KMJG on Friday.
The Oath Stone (Batu Sumpah) highlights three of the 20-Point Sabah safeguards that facilitated the State’s participation in the formation of Malaysia in 1963.
